While we are not litigators, our team does provide support in healthcare litigation cases. It may be that we are called upon to:
- Opine on billing methodology in a case involving acceptable reimbursement amounts.
- Review Treatment Plans to opine on whether best practices have been maintained or if services rendered are medically necessary.
- Conduct medical research to offer various comparison strategies for medical services and/or billing
In some cases, a defendant’s counsel might have us examine medical billings that are the subject of litigation or criminal prosecution. Normally the goal would be for us to establish the legitimacy of these billings as a complement to the work of the defense.
